Audi S4 pricing announced (UK)

Audi has released prices for its new four-wheel drive supercharged S4. The S4 will come in both saloon and estate bodystyles producing 329bhp from the 3.0 litre V6 petrol engine.

The S4 saloon will cost £34,225, while the estate version, the Audi S4 Avant, will cost £35,570. Customers will also be able to specify a new 7 speed twin-clutch DSG transmission, which costs an additional £1,420 in the saloon and £1,230 in the estate.

The new V6 engine is cleaner and more efficient than the outgoing 4.2 litre V8, and will return 29.1mpg on the combined cycle. The new Audi S4 will also be quicker than the previous model, reaching 62mph in 5.1 seconds. The S4 will launch in April 2009.
